Naseeb Verification Disclosure & Consent

Naseeb uses identity and verification information to help confirm that users are who they say they are, verify age and certain profile information, prevent fraud and impersonation, and support the safety and integrity of the Naseeb community.

Please read the following before submitting verification information.

1. Information We May Request

Depending on the verification being completed, Naseeb may ask you to provide one or more of the following:

• a government-issued identification document;
• a verification selfie, including a selfie with your identification document where requested;
• a criminal-record check obtained by you from an appropriate source;
• evidence concerning your current marital status;
• employment or company documentation; and
• other supporting documentation reasonably necessary to verify information you have provided to Naseeb.

You should provide only the documents requested for the applicable verification.

2. Identity and Selfie Verification

Where you submit a government-issued identification document and verification selfie, Naseeb and its service providers may process information from the identification document and may derive facial geometry or other biometric identifiers solely for the purpose of comparing the verification selfie with the identification image and confirming identity.

Verification information may also be compared with information you provided to Naseeb, including your name, age, profile information, photographs and other fraud-prevention signals.

Automated or technical tools may assist the verification process. Human review may also be used in accordance with the Naseeb Privacy Policy.

3. Other Verification Documents

Where you voluntarily submit criminal-record, marital-status, employment, company or other requested verification documents, Naseeb may review those documents to assess whether the information provided for verification appears consistent and authentic.

Where appropriate and authorized by you, Naseeb may contact an employer or company to verify information you submitted.

Verification does not mean that Naseeb has independently investigated every aspect of your history or circumstances.

4. What Verification Means

Completion of verification means only that Naseeb completed the verification steps applicable to your profile at the time.

A Verified status or verification indicator is not a certification or endorsement of a user and is not a guarantee of character, honesty, safety, compatibility, religious suitability, marital eligibility, financial status or the completeness of information provided by or about that person.

Verification cannot eliminate the risks associated with interacting with other people.

5. How Verification Information Is Used

Naseeb may use verification information to:

• verify identity and age;
• verify information provided in a profile or application;
• detect impersonation, fraudulent or altered documents, duplicate accounts and other suspected abuse;
• assess eligibility for Verified status or other verification-dependent features;
• investigate inconsistencies or suspected fraud or security issues; and
• protect Naseeb, its users and the integrity of the service.

Verification information is not used by Naseeb for behavioural advertising.

6. Storage and Deletion

Government-ID images, verification selfies, criminal-record documents, marital-status documents and employment-verification documents are deleted after the applicable verification is completed in accordance with the Naseeb Privacy Policy.

For government-ID and verification-selfie media, Naseeb’s operational target is deletion promptly after administrative verification and no later than two days after receipt, except where a short additional preservation period is required by law or reasonably necessary to investigate suspected fraud, security abuse or a dispute.

Naseeb may retain a limited verification record, such as the type of verification performed, date, status or result and relevant audit information.

Biometric identifiers derived for identity verification are permanently destroyed according to the retention schedule described in the Naseeb Privacy Policy.

7. Service Providers and International Processing

Naseeb may use service providers and technical infrastructure to process verification information on its behalf, including infrastructure used for identity-document, OCR and verification workflows.

Verification information may therefore be processed outside Canada, including in the United States, as described in the Naseeb Privacy Policy.

8. Your Consent

By selecting the consent box below and continuing with verification, you confirm that:

• you have read and understood this Verification Disclosure & Consent;
• the documents and information you submit belong to you or you are otherwise legally authorized to provide them;
• the information and documents you submit are authentic and have not been fraudulently altered;
• you consent to Naseeb collecting, using, processing and disclosing the verification information you submit for the purposes described above and in the Naseeb Privacy Policy; and
• where a verification selfie is requested, you expressly consent to the collection and processing of facial geometry or other biometric identifiers derived from the selfie and identification image solely for identity-verification purposes.

You may withdraw consent where permitted by applicable law. Withdrawal may prevent Naseeb from completing verification or providing features that require verification.
