Naseeb Terms of Use

IMPORTANT: These Terms form a binding contract between you and BEL Investigations Inc. Please read them before creating an account or purchasing a subscription.

1. Agreement and Operator

These Terms of Use (the “Terms”) govern access to and use of Naseeb, including the Naseeb website, iOS application, Android application, matching services, verification features, private chat, and any related services made available by BEL Investigations Inc. (“BEL”, “Naseeb”, “we”, “us” or “our”). BEL Investigations Inc. is a corporation incorporated in British Columbia, Canada.

By creating an account, clicking or tapping an acceptance control, purchasing a subscription or service, or otherwise using Naseeb, you agree to these Terms and to the policies expressly incorporated into them, including the Privacy Policy and the Naseeb Code of Conduct, as updated in accordance with applicable law.

If you do not agree, do not create an account, purchase a service, or use Naseeb. Nothing in these Terms limits a consumer right or remedy that cannot lawfully be waived.

2. Purpose of Naseeb

Naseeb is a marriage-focused matchmaking service designed around Islamic marriage values and practices. It is not a casual-dating, hookup, social-networking, or commercial-networking service. Users must use Naseeb genuinely for the purpose of seeking marriage and must comply with these Terms and the Community & Safety Guidelines.

Naseeb does not provide religious, legal, immigration, financial, medical, psychological, or other professional advice. Users are responsible for determining the religious and legal requirements applicable to any proposed marriage in their jurisdiction.

3. Eligibility and Account Requirements

To create and maintain a Naseeb account, you must:

• be at least 18 years old;
• create and control your own account; no parent, wali, family member, agent, or other person may create or operate an account on your behalf;
• provide accurate, current, and complete information;
• provide a valid government-issued identification document when requested for identity and age verification;
• use only one account and not create duplicate accounts or replacement accounts to evade enforcement action;
• have legal capacity to enter into a binding contract; and
• comply with the laws that apply to you and your use of Naseeb.

Your displayed first name must correspond to the identity verified by Naseeb. Your full legal name need not be displayed publicly. You are responsible for safeguarding your login credentials and for activity conducted through your account.

4. Profile Information and User Representations

Naseeb may collect profile information such as first name, age, city and country, gender, nationality, ethnicity, religious and madhhab-related information, marital status, children, occupation, education, income, physical characteristics, photographs, personal description, references, marriage preferences, deal-breakers, and other information you choose or are asked to provide.

You represent that information you submit is truthful and not misleading. Material misrepresentation—including about identity, age, marital status, children, employment, or other information relevant to matching—is grounds for termination.

Naseeb does not ask users to provide health or disability information as part of the matching questionnaire. If you voluntarily disclose sensitive information in a free-text field, you do so at your discretion and subject to our Privacy Policy.

You may edit your profile, preferences and deal-breakers. Naseeb may require renewed or additional verification where a material change affects information that was previously verified.

5. Photographs and Profile Visibility

A profile photograph is required. During the initial proposed-match stage, your photograph is not shown to the proposed match. Before mutual acceptance, a proposed match may be shown limited information such as your first name, age, description, city and country, marital-status information relevant to the proposed match, and selected physical characteristics.

After mutual acceptance, profile photographs and additional profile information may become visible to the matched users and, where applicable, to the woman’s wali as described below.

6. Wali Requirement and Access

For a never-married woman, submission of a profile requires wali information. For a divorced or widowed woman, wali participation is optional. A wali may be required to provide identifying and contact information, including name, relationship, email address and phone number, and may be required to complete a separate verification process.

Where a wali participates, the wali may have access to the relevant matched profiles, photographs and private match chat. Users therefore understand that communications in a wali-enabled match are not private as between the two matched users alone.

Wali participation is a platform feature and does not constitute legal or religious advice or a determination by BEL that any particular wali relationship satisfies the requirements of a specific school of Islamic jurisprudence or the law of any jurisdiction.

7. Matching Process

7.1 Algorithmic identification and human review

Naseeb uses automated tools and human review in its matching process. Live match generation currently uses Naseeb’s own heuristic scoring path to compare user match preferences and identify potential matches. The matching system is designed to surface potential matches beginning at an internal compatibility threshold of approximately 60%. A compatibility score is an analytical aid only; it is not a representation, warranty or guarantee of personal, religious, emotional, financial, physical or marital compatibility.

Users may see the number of potential matches identified by the system without seeing the identities or profiles of those potential matches. Potential matches are then reviewed by authorized human matchmakers. A human matchmaker may reject any algorithmically identified match. No algorithmic result or score creates a right to an introduction.

7.2 Proposed matches

Naseeb may present up to three proposed matches per monthly matching cycle. “Up to three” is a maximum, not a minimum or guarantee. Depending on availability, compatibility, verification, user preferences and human review, a user may receive three, two, one, or no proposed matches in a cycle.

A user generally has approximately 24 to 48 hours, as displayed in the service, to respond to a proposed match. A proposed match may be presented to more than one eligible user. No proposed match is reserved or exclusive. An introduction occurs only where the applicable users mutually accept the match. Where more than one person expresses interest in the same proposed match, availability may depend on the first mutually accepted pairing confirmed through the service.

If you reject proposed matches, you must wait until a later matching cycle for additional proposed matches. Naseeb does not guarantee an immediate replacement.

7.3 No browsing

Users cannot browse or search the Naseeb user database. Profiles are surfaced through the Naseeb matching process, except that Concierge clients may request that Naseeb consider a specific person as described in Section 12.

8. Mutual Acceptance, Chat and Ending a Match

After mutual acceptance, Naseeb may open a private chat for the matched users and, where applicable, the woman’s wali. Matched users may voluntarily exchange contact information. BEL personnel do not routinely read private match chats under the current service design. A user may, however, report conduct and voluntarily submit screenshots or other evidence to Naseeb for investigation.

Either matched user may end or reject a match. If a match ends, the users may become eligible for future matching cycles in accordance with the service. The availability or retention of historical chat after a match ends or after a later resubscription may depend on the functionality then available and the Privacy Policy; these Terms do not promise permanent chat storage or restoration.

When a paid subscription expires, the user loses access to Naseeb private chat, including an existing match chat. Contact exchanged and communications conducted outside Naseeb are outside Naseeb’s technical control.

9. User Preferences and Deal-Breakers

Users may specify compatibility preferences and deal-breakers, including criteria relating to matters such as age range, location, ethnicity, madhhab, education, children, willingness to relocate, and willingness to consider a polygynous marriage. User-selected preferences are inputs to the matching process and may be edited by the user.

Naseeb may apply lawful platform-level rules, safety rules, verification standards, and human review independently of a user’s preferences. Nothing in these Terms authorizes BEL personnel to make service-access decisions contrary to applicable human rights law.

10. Existing Marriages and Polygyny

Naseeb permits a married man to disclose that he is seeking an additional wife. A married user using this pathway must clearly and truthfully disclose his existing marital status. That status must be made available to a proposed match before she decides whether to accept an introduction.

Concealing or materially misrepresenting an existing marriage is a serious violation and may result in termination. Naseeb does not represent that a polygynous or plural marriage is legally permitted, registrable, enforceable, or recognized in the jurisdiction of any user. Users are solely responsible for obtaining independent legal and religious advice and complying with applicable law.

11. Subscription Plans, Billing and Cancellation

11.1 Basic subscription

The Basic subscription is US$30 per month, inclusive of applicable taxes as presented at checkout. It provides access to the Basic service features made available for the applicable platform and automatically renews monthly until cancelled.

11.2 Verified subscription

The Verified subscription is US$80 per month, inclusive of applicable taxes as presented at checkout. It includes the applicable subscription features plus the opportunity to submit verification materials described in Section 13. A qualifying profile may receive a blue verification indicator. The Verified subscription automatically renews monthly until cancelled.

11.3 Automatic renewal and cancellation

Monthly subscriptions renew for successive monthly periods unless cancelled. You may cancel the renewal at any time, before or after a renewal date, without a cancellation fee or other cancellation penalty. Cancellation prevents the next renewal; it does not by itself delete your account.

If you cancel before the next renewal date, you retain full paid functionality through the end of the then-current paid billing period, after which paid access ends. If applicable law gives you a cancellation, refund, cooling-off, or other right that is more favourable than these Terms, that law controls.

Purchases made through Apple or Google may also be administered through the applicable app-store account and are subject to mandatory platform billing rules. Web purchases may be processed through Stripe or another disclosed payment processor. The checkout screen controls the final amount, currency presentation, billing date, and platform-specific payment mechanics, subject to applicable law.

11.4 No pause

Naseeb allows a user to select Hide Profile or Stop Matching to temporarily remove the profile from active matching without deleting the account. Using Hide Profile or Stop Matching does not cancel, pause, freeze or extend a paid subscription and does not change the applicable renewal date.

Subscription cancellation is separate from Hide Profile or Stop Matching. A user who does not wish a subscription to renew must cancel the subscription through the applicable cancellation method.

11.5 No guaranteed matches

Subscription fees purchase access to the Naseeb service and matching process. They do not purchase or guarantee a particular match, a minimum number of proposed matches, mutual acceptance, communication, engagement, marriage, or any particular outcome.

12. Concierge Service

Naseeb may offer a Concierge service for US$2,000, inclusive of applicable taxes as presented at checkout, for a three-month dedicated search period based on the client’s stated criteria. Concierge does not automatically renew. A client who wants another term must actively purchase a new Concierge term.

Concierge is a professional matchmaking search and introduction service, not a guarantee. BEL does not guarantee that it will identify a suitable person, that any person will agree to receive information, that an introduction will occur, or that an introduction will lead to a relationship, engagement, or marriage.

A Concierge client may ask Naseeb to consider or approach a specific person. Naseeb may contact that person, including a person who is not a Naseeb user, to determine whether the person is interested in considering an introduction. Naseeb will ordinarily begin with a non-identifying description and will not disclose the client’s identity or contact information to that person unless and until disclosure is appropriate for a consensual introduction.

Additional Concierge-specific scope, service standards, cancellation and refund terms will be governed by the separate Concierge Service Agreement. If there is a conflict regarding Concierge services, the Concierge Service Agreement controls to the extent permitted by law.

13. Verified Profiles and User-Supplied Verification Documents

Naseeb does not presently obtain criminal record checks directly from a single global background-check provider. A user seeking Verified status must obtain and submit appropriate documentation from lawful or recognized sources in the user’s jurisdiction.

Verification materials may include:

• a criminal record check obtained by the user;
• legally recognized evidence concerning current marital status appropriate to the user’s jurisdiction;
• employment or company documentation; and
• other reasonable supporting materials requested for verification.

Naseeb may review documents, take reasonable steps to assess apparent authenticity, and may contact an employer or company where the user has provided appropriate authorization. Naseeb may refuse, suspend, remove, or require renewal of Verified status where documentation is incomplete, expired, inconsistent, unverifiable, or reasonably suspected to be false or altered.

A blue verification indicator means only that Naseeb completed the verification steps then applicable to that profile. It is not a certification, endorsement, security clearance, guarantee of character, guarantee of safety, guarantee of truthfulness, or representation that no criminal, civil, marital, financial, employment, or other relevant information exists outside the materials reviewed.

14. Identity, Age and Fraud Review

Naseeb requires government-issued identification for identity and age verification. Naseeb may compare information from or associated with the identification document against information supplied by the user, including name, age, city/country and IP-address-derived location.

An inconsistency—for example, between an IP-derived location and identification information—may be treated as a fraud or risk indicator and flagged for human review. An inconsistency does not, by itself, automatically establish fraud or result in automatic termination.

The collection, use, retention and deletion of identification and verification materials are governed by the Privacy Policy and internal retention procedures. Naseeb may change its verification technology or providers, subject to applicable privacy and consumer-protection law.

15. Artificial Intelligence and Automated Tools

Naseeb uses automated tools and human review in its matching and safety workflows. Live match generation currently uses Naseeb’s own heuristic scoring path. Human matchmakers review potential matches and may reject an algorithmically identified match.

Where configured, third-party artificial-intelligence technology may be used for optional text or risk-scoring functions. AI-generated outputs and automated risk indicators are analytical aids and are not conclusive determinations of compatibility, honesty, safety, religious suitability, wrongdoing or eligibility for marriage.

Identity discrepancies, location inconsistencies, device signals and other risk indicators may support human review. Naseeb may reject an application or restrict or terminate an account following human review where unresolved identity, authenticity, fraud, safety or seriousness concerns remain.

Where third-party technology or API providers process personal information, that processing is governed by the Privacy Policy and applicable data-protection arrangements.

16. Prohibited Conduct

You must not use Naseeb to:

• engage in casual dating, hookups, sexual solicitation, sexually explicit communications or content, or use without a genuine intention of seeking marriage;
• harass, threaten, intimidate, stalk, abuse, demean, exploit, or harm another user, wali, matchmaker, BEL employee, contractor, or representative;
• request or solicit money, loans, investments, cryptocurrency, financial assistance, or similar transfers or opportunities;
• advertise, promote a business, recruit clients, distribute affiliate or promotional links, or use Naseeb primarily for commercial networking;
• impersonate another person or provide materially false, misleading, forged, altered, or fraudulent information or documents;
• create multiple accounts, share an account, or evade a suspension, termination, verification requirement, or other enforcement measure;
• scrape, harvest, index, copy, reverse engineer, probe, interfere with, overload, or attempt unauthorized access to Naseeb, its systems, data, APIs, or accounts;
• introduce malware, malicious code, automated bots, or other harmful technology;
• use another user’s information for surveillance, harassment, fraud, doxxing, commercial use, or any purpose unrelated to a legitimate marriage introduction;
• copy, screenshot, screen-record, publish, forward, repost, externally distribute or otherwise share another user’s profile, photographs, private communications or personal information without that person’s consent, except where reasonably necessary to preserve or submit evidence of misconduct, protect yourself or another person, obtain legal advice, report conduct to an appropriate authority, or as otherwise required or permitted by law;
• use another user’s profile, photographs, communications or personal information to mock, ridicule, shame, humiliate, expose, threaten, retaliate against or encourage harassment of that person, including through social media, livestreams, messaging groups, websites, podcasts or other public or private forums; or
• use another user, their profile or private communications as content for entertainment, commentary or social-media publication where the person is identified or reasonably identifiable without that person’s consent; or
• engage in unlawful conduct or encourage another person to do so.

17. Reporting, Safety and In-Person Meetings

Users may report suspected misconduct and may voluntarily provide screenshots, documents, or other evidence. Naseeb may review submitted evidence and take action under these Terms. Naseeb does not undertake to continuously monitor private chats or guarantee that misconduct will be detected.

Naseeb does not arrange, host, supervise, or attend in-person meetings between users. Users decide whether, when, and where to meet and are responsible for taking reasonable precautions. Verification features reduce certain information risks but cannot eliminate interpersonal or safety risks.

18. Suspension and Termination

Naseeb may investigate suspected violations and may take measures proportionate to the nature, severity, frequency, evidence, and potential safety impact of the conduct. Measures may include a warning, restriction, suspension, removal of Verified status, cancellation of a proposed or current match, permanent account termination, or prevention of re-registration.

Violations of the Naseeb Code of Conduct constitute violations of these Terms and may result in enforcement under this Section. Conduct occurring outside the Naseeb service may also be considered where it involves another Naseeb user or information obtained through Naseeb and reasonably affects user privacy, safety, platform integrity or the enforcement of these Terms.

Serious misconduct may result in immediate termination without a prior warning. Material profile misrepresentation is grounds for termination.

Where Naseeb terminates an account because of the user’s misconduct, the user is not entitled to a contractual refund for unused time, except to the extent a refund or other remedy is required by non-waivable applicable law or by the mandatory rules of the payment platform.

19. Account Cancellation and Deletion

Cancelling a subscription, selecting Hide Profile or Stop Matching, and deleting an account are different actions. Cancelling a subscription stops future renewal but does not by itself delete the account. Selecting Hide Profile or Stop Matching removes the profile from active matching without deleting the account. Account deletion deletes the user’s account and personal information associated with the profile in accordance with the Privacy Policy, subject to the limited retention exceptions described there.

Following account deletion, BEL may retain limited records for periods reasonably necessary for legal compliance, payment and accounting obligations, fraud prevention, security, dispute resolution, complaint handling, enforcement, and the establishment, exercise, or defence of legal claims. Personal information will otherwise be handled in accordance with the Privacy Policy and applicable privacy law.

20. Intellectual Property

Naseeb, its software, branding, interface, matching methodology, databases, text, graphics, designs, trademarks, and other content supplied by BEL are owned by or licensed to BEL and are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. Subject to these Terms, BEL grants you a limited, personal, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use Naseeb for its intended personal matchmaking purpose.

You retain ownership of content you submit. You grant BEL a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, store, reproduce, display, transmit, format and otherwise use that content only as reasonably necessary to operate, secure, improve, moderate and provide Naseeb, comply with law, and exercise BEL’s rights under these Terms, subject to the Privacy Policy.

21. Third-Party Platforms and Services

Naseeb may rely on third-party services, including Apple, Google, Stripe, cloud hosting, identity or document-verification technology, communications providers, analytics, security tools, and AI/API providers. Their services may be subject to separate terms and privacy practices. BEL remains responsible for its own obligations under applicable law.

App-store terms may govern billing, refunds, subscription management, and restoration of purchases where required by the applicable platform.

22. Electronic Communications

You consent to receiving transactional and service communications electronically, including account, verification, matching, safety, billing, legal and security notices. Where consent is required for promotional or marketing electronic messages, Naseeb will seek and manage that consent separately as required by applicable law. You may not be able to opt out of essential non-marketing communications while maintaining an active account.

23. Service Changes and Availability

Naseeb may improve, modify, replace, add, or discontinue features. For subscription contracts, any unilateral amendment to contractual terms will be made only in accordance with applicable law, including applicable notice requirements. Naseeb will not rely on a general change clause to reduce non-waivable consumer rights.

The service may occasionally be unavailable because of maintenance, security incidents, outages, third-party failures, legal restrictions, or events beyond reasonable control. BEL does not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free availability.

24. Disclaimers

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, NASEEB IS PROVIDED ON AN “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” BASIS. BEL DOES NOT GUARANTEE THAT A USER IS SAFE, HONEST, COMPATIBLE, RELIGIOUSLY SUITABLE, LEGALLY FREE OR ABLE TO MARRY, OR THAT INFORMATION PROVIDED BY A USER OR THIRD PARTY IS COMPLETE OR ACCURATE.

BEL DOES NOT GUARANTEE ANY MATCH, MINIMUM NUMBER OF MATCHES, MUTUAL ACCEPTANCE, RESPONSE, RELATIONSHIP, ENGAGEMENT, MARRIAGE, OR OTHER OUTCOME. BACKGROUND, IDENTITY, EMPLOYMENT, MARITAL-STATUS, REFERENCE, OR OTHER VERIFICATION CAN REDUCE CERTAIN RISKS BUT CANNOT ELIMINATE THEM.

Nothing in this Section excludes a statutory warranty, condition, right, or remedy that cannot lawfully be excluded.

25. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, BEL will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for loss of profits, revenue, opportunity, goodwill, data, or anticipated savings arising from or relating to Naseeb.

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, BEL’s aggregate liability arising from or relating to the paid service giving rise to a claim will not exceed the greater of (a) the amount you paid to BEL for that service during the six months immediately preceding the event giving rise to the claim, and (b) US$100.

These limitations do not apply to liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited, and they do not limit any non-waivable consumer right or remedy.

26. User Responsibility and Indemnity

You are responsible for your conduct, your content, information you provide, and your interactions with other persons. To the extent permitted by applicable law, you agree to indemnify and hold harmless BEL and its directors, officers, employees and contractors from third-party claims, losses, liabilities and reasonable costs arising from your unlawful conduct, your material breach of these Terms, your infringement of another person’s rights, or content or documents you knowingly submit unlawfully or fraudulently.

This indemnity does not require a consumer to indemnify BEL for BEL’s own negligence, unlawful conduct, or breach of non-waivable legal obligations.

27. Privacy

BEL’s collection, use, disclosure, safeguarding, retention and deletion of personal information are governed by the Naseeb Privacy Policy and applicable privacy law. The Privacy Policy will identify BEL’s privacy contact and describe the purposes for which personal information is processed.

28. Governing Law and Disputes

These Terms and your relationship with BEL are governed by the laws of the Province of British Columbia and the federal laws of Canada applicable there, without giving effect to conflict-of-laws principles, except to the extent mandatory law in your place of residence applies and cannot lawfully be displaced.

Nothing in these Terms requires a consumer to submit a dispute to mandatory arbitration or another mandatory dispute-resolution process, waives participation in a class proceeding, or prevents a consumer from bringing a proceeding in a court or tribunal where applicable law permits the consumer to do so. After a dispute arises, the parties may mutually agree to mediation, arbitration, or another dispute-resolution process.

29. Changes to These Terms

BEL may amend these Terms only in the manner permitted by applicable law. Where advance notice is required, BEL will provide the required notice through a method that permits BEL to demonstrate receipt, and will describe the amendment and its effective date. Any amendment to cancellation, return, exchange or refund provisions will not increase a consumer’s obligations or reduce BEL’s obligations where applicable law prohibits such a change.

If a change requires renewed consent, Naseeb may require you to accept the updated Terms before continuing to use affected features. The version and effective date will be displayed with the Terms.

30. General

If any provision of these Terms is held invalid or unenforceable, it will be interpreted or severed to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions will continue in effect, subject to applicable law. A failure by BEL to enforce a provision is not a waiver. You may not assign your account or these Terms without BEL’s prior written consent. BEL may assign these Terms as part of a corporate reorganization, financing, merger, acquisition, or sale of all or substantially all of the relevant business, subject to applicable law and privacy obligations.

These Terms, together with policies and service-specific agreements expressly incorporated by reference, constitute the agreement governing the relevant Naseeb service. In the event of a conflict, a service-specific agreement controls for that service to the extent permitted by law.

31. Contact and Legal Notices

Users must keep their account email address current so that Naseeb can provide contractual, renewal, safety, privacy, and other legally required notices.
